Ondo 2020: INEC Reacts To Fire Incident in Akure Office

Barely 30 days to Ondo 2020 Governorship election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was razed by fire.

INEC office in Akure guts fire Thursday evening and some card readers damaged during the incident.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Akure Ondo state capital, is reported be on fire now for unknown cause of the inferno.

Speaking on the fire incident, on NTA network news, the National Commissioner of the electoral body, Festus Okoye said, 1, 141 card readers and other sensitive materials needed for the October 10 governorship election have got burnt.

Although he mentioned that, the commission has made effort to engage fire extinguishers to suppress the engulf inferno.
