CONFIRMED Medical Outreach: 1500 Residents Get Free Healthcare in Ifedore LG
Over 1,500 persons have been treated for different ailments and diseases through the Confirmed Free Medical Outreach organized by Dr Adeleye Olusayero Jasper in Ifedore local government area of Ondo state.
The Free Medical Outreach under the auspices of Ray of Hope Foundation held for three days in Igbara-oke, Ilara-mokin and Ijare as well as their suburbs.
The beneficiaries received free medication and were given drugs to treat diseases they were diagnosed of.
Our correspondent who visited centres of the Confirmed Free Medical Outreach in the local government reports that people of the communities trooped out to benefit from the three-day gesture, including community and religious leaders.
Speaking, the organizer of the Confirmed Free Medical Outreach Dr Adeleye Jasper expressed joy that the people responded to benefit from the gesture.
Adeleye said “We just felt it is time for us to also do what we have been doing before in other places such as Benue, plateau states and in Idanre local government and now we are doing it again here in Ifedore local government.
“This is an idea of getting from the community and giving back to the community.
“These are my people, I want to always see them strong at all times. We also took it upon ourselves that they need to be more healthy during and after festive period. That is why we are reaching out to those who are sick because Health is wealth.
“We are happy that People are trooping out to get the free health care. We had over 15 doctors to take care of those coming.
“I would not say the government are not trying because we know the country is facing challenges at this period of time. We should not put the blame on government. Let us as wealthy people do what they can do for their immediate environs and not waiting for government to do everything.
“I know the health sector is facing serious challenges and my projection is that I bring free hospitals that when people are sick, they can truly have health care, except for the treatment of very serious ailments or terminal diseases. So we are looking forward to seeing what we could come up with for the benefit of the community.”
Also speaking, Mrs Laura Adeleye Jasper who is a medical doctor said “This is the third day and so far it has been very great and the turn out has been massive and increasing over the day and we are happy that we are able to touch lives.
“So far ,during the outreach, we have been able to treat all sorts of diseases. We have been able to identify people with very high blood pressure, high enough to lead to stroke, those who never knew they were diabetic, most of them were diagnosed here and we placed them on medication.
“We are able to observe and see them get better. So it is really a thing of joy.
“I am very happy with the free medical outreach. It has always been our passion to see that we gives back to the community.”
She however called on government at all levels to give priority to improving the health sector.
FactualTimes gathered that residents of Idanre local government area have benefited from the medical outreach sponsored by Jasper Olusayero Adeleye in the past.
