Osun 2022: Hakeem Lawal, Kwara SDP Senatorial Candidates, others Make Campaign Council list

The National leadership of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, has named some party’s chieftains from Kwara State as part of members of the National Campaign Council for Osun a kSDPState Governorship election.

In a photograph made available to newsmen by the National Working Committee of SDP, the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Kwara, Alhaji Hakeem Lawal, Kwara South Senatorial Candidate, Prof. Wale Suleiman, State Legal Adviser, Barr. Oladimeji Mustapha, serving House of Representatives member, Hon. Abdulganiyu Cook Olododo made the list of the National Campaign Council for the 2022 Osun Governorship election.

Reacting to the development, the Kwara SDP standard-bearer, Alhaji Hakeem Lawal expressed optimism that the party’s candidate will win the election scheduled to hold on July 16, 2022.

Hakeem said, “I am very optimistic that our party’s governorship candidate in Osun State will win with a wide margin. It is obvious that the people of the State of Osun want a change of government and with a good agenda which is the manifestoes of SDP, I am very sure of victory.

“I and other members of the party from Kwara State would be there to canvass support for our candidate and as well sensitize the citizens on why they need to vote for the SDP governorship candidate.”

He, however, urged the good people of Osun State to remain calm and peaceful throughout the conduct of the election.

“Despite our party differences, we need to put the unity of our dear country at heart. I urge the good people of Osun State to remain calm and peaceful. I implore you all to be orderly while casting your vote for the right candidate of your choice,” he stated.
