The legislative arm of government is critical to the advancement of democratic rule and the quality of representatives from different constituency will determine the level of contribution of legislative arm to good governance. Meaningful contributions of legislative arm of government with definitely enhance delivery of dividends of democracy to the populace.
The 8th lagislature of Kwara State House Assembly under the leadership of a vibrant lawyer- Dr Ali Ahmad is blessed with quality representatives from 24 state house constituency.
Hon. Abdullahi Taiwo Abdulrasheed is one of the members of 8th legislature of Kwara State House of Assembly. Hon Abdullahi Taiwo AbdulRasheed who was born on September 29, 1971 is the member representing Owode/Onire constituency, Asa local government under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
He holds a Higher National Diploma in Accounting and Masters in Public Administration. Hon AbdulRasheed is an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered) and the Institute of Company & Commercial Accountants of Nigeria.
The vocal honorable is the Chairman of House Committee on Public Account and since inauguration of the current assembly in 2015; he has been contributing to all issues raised in the house of assembly.
His over 20 years working experience in financial and taxation has equipped with required knowledge to function effective as Chairman House Committee Public Accounts.
Hon. Abdulrasheed worked as Enumerator at the National Population Commission before joining TAO Consulting as Principal Consultant. He also served as Account Assistant/ Part Time Lecturer, UNILAG Distance Learning and moved to Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, Ilorin. The 45-year-old lawmaker was the General Manager, Corporate Pictures Nig. Ltd before his people elected him as their representative in 2015.
The resourceful legislature is not new to politics as he had one time served as Administrative Secretary, Congress for National Consensus Party, Asa L.G.A.
