Ramadan: Senator Rafiu Shares Cash Gifts To Over 3000 Beneficiaries
Senator, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim has donated multimillion cash gift in various categories to about 3000 beneficiaries across the seven local government areas of his senatorial district and beyond.
The beneficiaries, who were drawn from across the 83 wards in Kwara South and beyond include the less privileged, the needy, followers, community leaders, credible small charity groups, and political stakeholders.
Senator Rafiu said the gesture was to cushion the impact of the current economic hardship on the people, particularly during this holy month of Ramadan.
It was gathered that unlike his usual annual distribution of food items, Senator Rafiu decided to donate cash to the selected beneficiaries, which was sent directly to their bank accounts.
According to his Aide who is leading the coordination of the charitable gestures, the arrangement was to ensure that the beneficiaries get the money without any undue interference and in strict compliance of COVID-19 protocols.

He added that the beneficiaries have varying needs and that with the cash gift, they can meet part of their needs.
Senator Rafiu had earlier congratulated the Muslim faithfuls for witnessing this year’s Ramadan and urged them to take opportunity of the holy month to draw closer to Allah by increasing their acts of worship.
He prayed Allah (SWT) to accept all acts of worship and supplications offered during the holy Month.
The lawmaker also called on Kwarans and Muslims in particular, to take advantage of this holy month to offer prayers to Allah to bless our dear State, Kwara and Nigeria, with purposeful leadership, direction and development.
