Safety, wellbeing of Kwara South people remains our top priority – Senator Ashiru

Senator Oyelola Ashiru has vowed to continue to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of constituents in Kwara South senatorial district.

Senator Ashiru gave this assurance on Wednesday in a message issued to mark 65th Independence of Nigeria.

In his message of felicitation, Ashiru emphasized the importance of maintaining Nigeria’s status as an indivisible entity, encouraging citizens to protect the country’s unity.

“Nigeria has come a long way as one indivisible entity, which every citizen must work to protect. We must continue to live as brothers and sisters, irrespective of our differences in ethnic and religious beliefs. It is only when we live together in peace that we can work together to develop the country.” he noted

The Deputy Senate Leader also acknowledged the security challenges facing Kwara South and reassured citizens of ongoing efforts to restore peace and sanity to the district.

He reaffirmed that the safety and well-being of the people remain a top priority, citing collaboration between government agencies, community leaders, and security operatives as key to addressing the menace.

“As we mark our country’s 65th Independence Anniversary, I urge everyone to remain steadfast, united, and prayerful. Together, we will overcome these challenges and restore peace and development to Kwara South and Nigeria as a whole,” Ashiru concluded.
