Saliu Mustapha Heads Senate Committee on Agriculture, Petroleum Resources

The Senator representing Kwara Central, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has been named the Chairman Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio made the announcement on Monday night during plenary at the Red Chamber Abuja.
FactualTimes reports that Senator Saliu Mustapha who is the Turaki of Ilorin will also serve as Deputy Chairman Senate Committee Petroleum Resources (Upstream).
The appointment of Saliu Mustapha into strategic Senate Committees according to Political Watchers in Kwara State shows his understanding of the National Assembly.
Meanwhile, Senator Sadiq Umar from Kwara North emerged Chairman Senate Committee on Trade and Investment while his Kwara South counterpart, Senator Oyelola Ashiru will served as Vice Chairman Power alongside his role as Deputy Majority Whip.
