Sarkin Gobir Felicitates Emir of Ilorin on 85th Birthday

The Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate and Wazirin Kasar Hausa, Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, has extended warm felicitations to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on the occasion of his 85th birthday.

In a statement released on Monday, Alhaji Gobir described the Emir as “a beacon of leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the peace, unity, and progress of Ilorin Emirate and the nation at large.”

He noted that the Emir’s reign has continued to inspire generations, uplift the cultural heritage of Ilorin, and serve as a source of pride for all indigenes of the Emirate.

“As His Royal Highness marks this remarkable milestone, I join the entire Ilorin Emirate and well-wishers around the world in celebrating a life dedicated to service and dignity,” the statement read.

“I pray Almighty Allah grants him continued good health, strength, and a long, peaceful reign filled with even more accomplishments and divine blessings,” he added.

Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari ascended the throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin in 1995 and has since been widely respected for his contributions to traditional leadership and national unity.
