Senator Ashiru Commences Grading of Obatiwajoye/Asalofa Road

The Senator representing Kwara South, Arch Oyelola Ashiru has initiated the final grading of the Obatiwajoye/Asalofa road in Offa, signaling the impending priming and asphalt laying phases.

This project marks a significant step towards improving the infrastructure and connectivity in the area.

This development follows the recent completion of the Popo/IgiNsogba/Ikolaba road project and the rehabilitation of the Gbomi Bridge, which connects Offa and Oyun local government areas.

The bridge, which had been in a state of disrepair, posed serious safety concerns. Senator Ashiru’s intervention came swiftly, with directives issued to his aides to coordinate with local engineers to implement immediate measures to make the bridge passable within 24 hours.

It would be recalled that in March 2024, Senator Ashiru unveiled plans to construct new roads in Omu-Aran city, Irepodun Local Government, Kwara South. The proposed roads, including Adodo Junction/OreMeji street/Ekan Garage and Latinwo market/Edidi road, are crucial arteries that will significantly enhance connectivity and accessibility within the city.

These infrastructure projects reinforce Senator Ashiru’s commitment to addressing critical infrastructural needs and improving the quality of life for residents in Kwara State.

The ongoing and planned road projects are expected to facilitate economic growth and ensure safer, more reliable transportation routes for the communities involved.
