Senator Ashiru Mourns Prof Oyawoye
The Senator representing Kwara South senatorial district, Sen. Oyelola Ashiru, has mourned the death of Professor Oyawoye.
Senator Ashiru described the passing of Professor Jamiu Mosobalaje Oyawoye, the first Professor of Geology in Africa as a colossal loss to Offa community and the Nation at large.
The senator noted that Prof. Oyawoye was a reputable Prince of Offa Kingdom, his love and contribution to the development of our community, the field of science and humanity makes him one among many. He was a humble man who gave his all for the betterment of everyone that came in contact with him.
“As painful as we are of his death, we find solace in the great legacy he left behind and in the mercy of Almighty Allah to forgive his sins and grant him aljana firdaus”. He added.
The senator sent his heartfelt condolences to the family and to sons and daughters of Offa Kingdom, may God Almighty grant us the fortitude to bear the loss.
