Senator Ashiru’s Wife Renovates Maternal Ward in PHC Share
The wife of Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district, Pharmacist Rukkyat Ashiru on Wednesday commissioned newly renovated and equipped new born/labour ward at Basic Health Centre, Share in Ifelodun local government area.
Pharmacist Ashiru during the commissioning of the renovated and equipped maternal Corner at Basic Health Centre, Share said modern medical equipment will enhance quality health delivery and reduce neonatal deaths.
She also commended the Primary Health Care workers for ensuring safe delivery and for their diligent services over the years.
Dr. Bisi Ogunshola who commissioned the corner, urged the pregnant women to patronize government owned hospitals and to stop home delivery so as to reduce neonatal death.
The Local Government HOD health noted that, the equipped facilities is the best in Ifelodun LG, while appreciating the wife of the Senator for prompt intervention on healthcare.
The medical equipment donated includes Resuscitating kits, Suction Machine, Big wall Clock, Pulse oximeter, Sharp bins, Tape, Pediatrics stethoscope, Radiant Infant Warmer, infrared thermometers, oxygen concentrator, oxygen cylinder, generator and others.
Hajia Rukkyat Ashiru also distributed hundreds of delivery kits and other essential commodities to pregnant women at Community Town Hall, Share
Dignitaries at the event include Olupako of Share, HRH Sulaiman Usman Haruna Olawale Adegbite II represented by Chief AA Odofin, community leaders, APC Senatorial Women leader, Alhaja Mujidat Amototo and others.
