Senator Saliu Mustapha Sponsors Another Bill

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial district, Mallam Saliu Mustapha has sponsored bill on mandatory inclusion of cassava in flour production in Nigeria.

Senator Saliu Mustapha’s The Cassava Flour (mandatory inclusion into Flour Production) Bill 2023 passed first reading on Wednesday.

FactualTimes reports that the bill seeks to make the use of cassava flour mandatory in the production of flour in Nigeria.

The bill when passed into law will promote cassava farming within the country while reducing our dependency on imported wheat flour.

Mustapha is expected to lead debate on the importance of the bill during the second reading.

Recall that the Kwara Central Senator has sponsored four bills since inception of 10th Senate in June 2023.
