Seyi Makinde Wins With Over 300,000 Votes

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Engr Seyi Makinde as the winner of 2023 Oyo governorship election.

Makinde polled 563,756 votes to defeat his closest rival, Senator Teslim Folarin of APC who scored 256,685. The incumbent Governor won 31 out of 33 local government areas in the pace setter state.

The Accord Party Candidate, Adelabu emerged second runner up with 38,757votes.

The Ibadan born Politician is the second Oyo State Governor to secure second term in office.
