Shekarau Will Not Dump PDP Because Kwankwaso
The People Democratic Party PDP in Kano state has dismissed a report suggesting that the presidency and the leadership of All progressive Government APC are wooing the former Kano Governor, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau to the ruling party to weaken the influence of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Reacting to the Development, spokesman of the PDP in Kano, Alhaji Musa Dan Birni described the report as misleading and mischievous.
He told our correspondent that Mallam Shekarau remains in PDP with no intention to join any political party.
The party’s spokesman said Ambassador Aminu Bashir Wali remains the leader of the party, therefore dismissing the rumor of looming crisis between Shekarau and Senator Kwankwaso over who owns the control of the PDP structure in Kano State.
He therefore described APC government as empty government, anti democracy, saying the party has no capacity to win 2019 general elections considering the present challenges of lack of employment opportunity and insecurity.
