TCI Gets Commendation As Family Planning Acceptability Increases in Kwara

Family planning is a safe means of ensuring there is enough for each member of the family to have enough resources to live a wholesome life.

The family planning supervisor of the Ilorin East LGA in Kwara state, Hajia Maryam BALOGUN, made this assertion during a field visit to Okelele primary healthcare center, Ilorin by Devcom media advocacy group.

She was speaking on the backdrops of the acceptance level of modern FP reproductive health systems in the state by Devcom. She said that Kwara state has recorded positive outcomes on family planning awareness through Devcom and TCI.

Hajia Maryam commended Devcom and TCI for the good health assessment and encouragement given to people on family planning.

She urged individuals, especially married women to accept family planning method to avoid unwanted pregnancy.

The sensitisation programme was organised by Devcom and TCI and is designed to encourage family planning among the rural population. She said that Family Planning will not make women barren against misconception among some people.
