The Rising Profile of Gadaff In Kwara Politics

In the soro soke generation, the level of youth involvement in politics starts and ends on social media platforms. Majority of them are popular in the social media space without having relevance in their domain; polling unit, ward and even local government area. To this set of youth, political participation is all about condemning government policies/programmes without proffering solutions or taking advantage of social media to rain curses and abuses on political office holders.

However, Comrade Sulaiman Lekan Gadaff is not in this category of youth. He is taking his level of participation to the grassroots because he understands politics is local!

According to the politician who hails from Ajagusi community in Asa local government area of Kwara state, we can’t continue to seat back or agitating on the streets through protests or social media handles without playing active where it matters.

To this end, the graduate of Business education from Ekiti State University (COED) who pursuing his Master’s degree in Philosophy of Education (UNILORIN) is mobilizing the youth in his local government area and Kwara state at large to participate in the political process.

Gadaff in the latest 10 years from days of Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) founded by President Muhammadu Buhari has remain steadfast, resolute and determined to increase level of youth involvement in politics.

The Agripreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Elqozaphy Enterprise have being understudying …to understand the art, act and rules of political engagement.

No wonder, he fast becoming household name in Asa local government area and Kwara state due to his unique approach to politics. Gadaff through his actions and community development drive has shown that politics should be about adding values and implementing policies to transform the society.

In the latest one year, the rugged students union leader during his undergraduate days has impacted some rural communities positively through repair of boreholes, distribution of books as well as creating opportunities for other youth to excel.

In build up to 2019 general elections, Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff mobilized youth to form ‘Determined Likeminds Youth” to declare support for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, then APC governorship candidate in Kwara state.

It’s therefore not surprising that his aspiration of leading Asa Local Government Area to the path of greatness has been receiving support from the youths, elders, women and other stakeholders within and outside APC. The people are routing for Gadaff due to his intellect, resourceful and well defined mission/vision for the council.

He has also facilitated movement of some PDP youth into APC family.

Lekan Gadaff is a young and energetic mind that we can trust with political post and will surely deliver. Asa LG, it’s time to think Gadaff for all-round development
