The plan by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to constitute Transitional Interm Committee (TIC) is causing ripples in Asa Local Government area as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have rejected the candidate nominated by some elders.
Our correspondent gathered that some aggrieved members are not happy with the plot by the party leaders in Asa local government to present name of an aged person to the governor.
One of the aggrieved members, AbdulKareem Hafeez disclosed that APC has zoned the TIC chairmanship slot to Afon axis and majority of the party leaders/members are agitating for nomination of youth in order to move the local government forward.
AbdulKareem Hafeez said: ”APC members are not happy with position of some selfish leaders to impose another aged person on the local government when we have vibrant youth. These kind of leaders only consider their pocket without thinking about future of Asa local government and their children.
”No meaningful development in the local government and we must change the narrative by injecting fresh blood into the stay. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq should not approve nomination of any aged person for position of TIC Chairman.”
He hinted that youths from all wards will stage peaceful protest, if the leaders fail to nominate competent young person as chairman. ‘
