Tinubu Names New CBN Governor, Picks el-Rufai’s Ally As Deputy

President Bola Tinubu has nominated Dr. Olayemi Michael Cardoso as the new Central Bank Governor.

Cardozo, a former Lagos State Commissioner will serve a term of five (5) years subject to Senate  confirmation.

The Special Adviser Media to President, Ajiri Ngelale disclosed in a statement made available to FactualTimes in Abuja on Friday.

Tinubu also named former Chief of Staff to Nasir el-Rufai, Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi Dattijo as CBN Deputy Governor.

Sani Abdullahi Dattijo contested Kaduna Central Senatorial district on the platform of All Progressives Congress.

Mrs. Emem Nnana Usoro , Mr. Philip Ikeazor and Dr. Bala M. Bello were also forwarded to the Senate as Apex Bank Deputy Governor nominees.
