President Bola Tinubu has nominated 47 Ministerial-nominees to serve his cabinet to Senate for confirmation.

Inline with the provisions of Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution each state in the country must have one representative and the nomination is subject to Senate confirmation.

To this end, Tinubu on Thursday July 27, 2023 forwarded first batch of Ministerial list containing 28 names to Senate led by Senator Godswill Akpabio fir screening and confirmation.

FactualTimes reports that the President through his Chief of Staff delivered the second batch containing 19 names on Wednesday August 2, 2023.

Recall that the Senate commenced screening of Ministerial nominees on Monday.

Analysis of the Ministerial list by FactualTimes revealed that Ogun State has three slots while Lagos, Cross river, Niger, Bauchi, Taraba, Katsina, Kano and Kebbi states have two nominees each.

Tinubu’s Ministerial-nominees include nine former governors and son of late Kogi Governor; Prince Audu Abubakar- Prince Shaibu Abubakar.
