Tinubu’s ADC is encroaching our land, terrorising Farmers, Ira Community Writes Kwara Governor

People of Ira Community in Oyun local government under the authority of the Onira of Ira, Oba Abdulrahman Oyewale Oyetoro has written petition to Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq over encroachment of their land by the Security Aide(ADC) to President Bola Tinubu and newly appointed Elemona of Ilemona, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf.
Ira Community in a petition written on November 20, 2024 by their solicitor, Adewale Olatunde & Co of Providence Law Office in Ilorin accused Oba Yusuf who is still a Lt Colonel in Nigerian Army of massively encroaching on Ira communal land without the consent or approval of Onira of Ira.
The letter read in part: “No portion of Ira land was sold, conveyed or transferred to the Elemona of Ilemona by Onira of Ira or anybody/authority in Ira.
“To the chagrin of our clients, His Highness, the Elemona of Ilemona in a rather brazen and provocative manner, went to different portions of Ira’s land at Asaoye and Fere or Irafere, cleared the land, sunk boreholes, erected solar lights and even erected building on Ira’s land at Fere, which is cradle of Ira. This is rather provocative act that is capable of causing communal crisis between Ira and Ilemona”.
The community noted that the written Oyun local government Chairman and some Traditional Rulers within the axis to stop the encouragement.
FactualTimes Correspondent who cited letter written to Governor Abdulrazaq reports that it was received on December 2, 2024 and no action has been taken to avoid communal crisis.
A Credible source in Ira Community told Our Correspondent that Tinubu’s ADC has been using force and state power to suppress Ira Community agitation.
“Elemona of Ilemona who is also the ADC to President Bola Tinubu, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf has encroachment on Ira Community land after Odo-ogun boundary. He has armed some people who are not security personnel to be intimidating Ira farmers from going to the farm.”
Recall that Kwara South Youth Council last week raised alarm over encroachment of land in Offa by Tinubu’s ADC.
