Towoju Congratulates Kwara LG Chairmen on One-year in Office Celebration
Former Kwara State Commissioner, Hon Olabode Towoju has congratulated 16 Local Government Chairmen in the State on One-Year Anniversary in office.
Towoju in a statement issued on Wednesday commended Council Chairmen for making impact at the grassroots level.
His words: “This milestone marks a significant chapter in your leadership journey and offers a moment for both celebration and reflection. Over the past year, you have had the privilege and responsibility of serving the people at the grassroots level. It is a role that is both demanding and crucial to the development of our communities.
“While we commend the efforts made so far, I urge each of you to use this moment to refocus on your core mandate: to improve the lives of the citizens who entrusted you with their votes, their voices, and their hopes. Let your leadership bring about visible and positive change, especially in areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social welfare.
“I also want to emphasise the growing concern around security across our state. As Chairmen, the safety and well-being of your people must remain at the forefront of your agenda. Work closely with security agencies, traditional rulers, youth leaders, and other stakeholders to foster peace and stability within your local governments. Without security, development cannot thrive.”
He used the opportunity to acknowledge performance Chairman of Oke-Ero Local Government Area, Hon. James Abiodun Fadipe.
“As a proud son of Oke-Ero myself, I follow your work with keen interest. You carry not just the mandate of your office, but the trust of our shared community. I urge you to continue in the path of service, humility, and people-focused leadership. Oke-Ero deserves nothing less.” He charged.
