The duo died on Tuesday after their vehicle was swept away by flood.
Route 22 is underwater with many people trapped in their vehicles.
FactualTimes reports that the thunderstorm in New York City and New Jersey left commuters stranded for after over two inches of rain fell in an hour—marking the city’s second-wettest hour on record.
