World Peace Day: Frequencie Urges Entertainers To Preach Message of Hope Amidst COVID-19 Pandemic



 

As the world celebrate 2020 International Day of Peace, Nigerian born Afro RockStar and Singer, Ayokanmi Oluwasegun Eyanro professionally known as Frequencie has urged Entertainers to use their platform to promote peace and preach hope amidst ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.

Frequencie who making waves in North Central Region, Nigeria during a media chat to making this year Peace Day with the theme: Shaping Peace Together, said music artistes, filmmakers, comedians, and other entertainers need to promote peace by showing compassion, kindness to less privileged in the society as well as preaching message of hope to ease emotional and  psychological effects of COVID-19 pandemic on humanity.

This year International Day of Peace has been dedicated for spreading compassion, kindness and hope in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic as the World stand together with the UN against attempts to use the virus to promote discrimination or hatred.

The Afro Rockstar based in West Africa noted that music is a veritable tool for peace building, making and sustainability, saying South Africans like Lucky Dube used music to promote peace, love and tranquility in the post apartheid era.

Frequencie therefore appealed to entertainers support government and other stakeholders to flatten the curve of COVID-19 by educating their fans on the need to adhere to safety protocols.

He recall that he provided palliative items and cash support for the vulnerable in the North Central State during Lockdown to cushion economic effect of the restrictions.
