Woro killing: Bolarinwa Sends Condolence Message to Emir of Kaiama
…Calls for Collective Action Against Insecurity
Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, PhD, has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to the families of victims affected by the recent violent attacks in Woro and Nuku communities, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
He also extended his sympathies to the Emir of Kaiama, His Royal Highness Alhaji Omar Shehu Muazu, Kiyaru II, and the entire people of Kaiama over the tragic loss of lives.
Hon. Bolarinwa described the attacks as painful and condemnable, noting with concern that despite ongoing efforts by the Kwara State Government and the Federal Government to address insecurity, criminal elements continue to perpetrate acts of violence against innocent citizens.
He lamented the loss of brave individuals who stood to protect their families and communities, stressing that such senseless killings must not be allowed to define the future of the state. He expressed confidence that, by the grace of Almighty God, evil actors—along with those who aid and abet them—will be exposed and brought to justice.
He called on residents to remain calm, united, and resolute, urging community members to support security agencies by promptly providing credible information on suspicious activities within their environments. He further appealed to the State Government to intensify security measures across all parts of Kwara State, particularly in both Kwara North and Kwara South, to ensure the safety of lives and property.
Hon. Bolarinwa prayed for Almighty God to console and strengthen the bereaved families, grant them fortitude in this difficult time, and restore lasting peace and harmony to Kaiama communities and Kwara State at large.
