Governor Siminalayi Fubara in continuation of hostility with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, described his Deputy, Professor Ngozi Nma Odu as a sweet mistake.
Fubara stated this at the commissioning of 21.6-kilometer Omoku-Egbema Road on Friday.
The Governor used the expression to downplay Wike for describing his emergence as a mistake.
The event took place in the Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA), which is both the hometown of Sir Dr. Peter Odili and the current Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Professor Ngozi Nma Odu. The local community displayed an unprecedented welcome to Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, his Deputy, and their entourage, reflecting their strong support for the current administration.
Upon taking office, Governor Fubara convened meetings with local leaders, including Royal Fathers, youths, political leaders of ONELGA, and the contractor responsible for the Omoku-Egbema Road. He emphasized the importance of cooperation to avoid any sabotage and ensure the project’s smooth completion, a project that had been long overdue.
The completion of the Omoku-Egbema Road underscores Governor Fubara’s commitment to his “People First” mantra The people of ONELGA have expressed their gratitude for the dualized road project and pledged their continued support for Governor Fubara and Deputy Governor Professor Odu.
Governor Fubara has also approved the construction of the remaining section of the Omoku Link Road to the boundary with Imo State and the completion of the Omoku Zonal Hospital.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several notable dignitaries, marking it as a significant event for the region.
