YPP Screening Committee Clears Gobir for Guber Primaries

The Young Progressives Party (YPP) governorship screening committee has cleared the Madawaki of Ilorin, Alhaji Yakubu Gobir for Primary election.

The Screening Committee from YPP National Secretariat cleared Gobir, the sole governorship aspirant in Kwara State after rigorous exercise at the State Secretariat in Ilorin on Friday.

The trained Pharmacist and Business Mogul will therefore participate in YPP governorship primary election slated for Saturday June 4, 2022 at Kwara State Secretariat in GRA Ilorin.

Recall that Gobir, a former APC governorship aspirant in 2019 dumped the party last year to join YPP.

He is the major financier of Kwara YPP and the party has registered over 50,000 members across 16 local government areas of the state.
