AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq: Steering Kwara Towards Unstoppable Progress

By Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff

Kwara State is living through a remarkable chapter in its history a period defined by purposeful leadership, steady transformation, and the rekindling of hope. At the center of this progress stands His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, a leader whose style is rooted in action rather than empty promises, and whose vision continues to redefine the story of our beloved state.

Across Kwara, the evidence of transformation is visible in new road networks linking communities, in renovated classrooms filled with eager learners, in bold youth empowerment programs, and in expanded access to electricity that powers both homes and businesses. This is not coincidence; it is the outcome of focused governance backed by a dedicated team of achievers.

The Governor’s vision is amplified by capable hands in key ministries. Professor Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, Chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has engineered an education revolution constructing and renovating hundreds of classrooms, improving teacher welfare, and introducing KwaraLEARN, a pioneering digital learning program that is raising the bar in public education.

Similarly, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, Commissioner for Education, has in less than a year introduced reforms that rehabilitate schools, create innovative learning platforms, and ensure that no child is left behind. In the same spirit, Hajia Sa’adat Moddibo Kawu, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, has strengthened higher institutions, improved learning standards, and championed student welfare with deliberate and practical measures.

Infrastructure has received unprecedented attention under the leadership of Hon. Qowiyu Olododo, Commissioner for Works, whose road projects are not just easing transportation but also boosting trade and connecting distant communities. Environmental and youth development strides have been notable under Hon. Nafisat Buge, who has created employment opportunities for young people while leading clean-up and sustainability drives.

In the energy sector, Engr. Kola Azeez is bringing light to Kwara through expanded electricity access and renewable energy projects that benefit both urban and rural areas. On the communication front, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, has ensured that government activities are presented with transparency and professionalism, while Fafoluyi Michael Solace, Special Assistant on New Media, has amplified Kwara’s success stories and countered misinformation through strategic digital engagement.

Youth and student affairs are in safe hands with Hon. Salami Wasiu Onidugbe, whose efforts in maintaining peace among student bodies, facilitating palliative distribution, and ensuring the smooth deployment of transportation have proven invaluable.

These combined achievements reflect a coordinated and people-centered governance model. They demonstrate what becomes possible when a visionary leader surrounds himself with capable and committed individuals. Yet, progress is not an event it is a journey. While we have come far, there is still much to do, and we must not lose momentum.

The task before us is clear: we must stand firmly with the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate, our Governor, and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON. Together, we can sustain the pace of development, overcome emerging challenges, and ensure that Kwara continues on its upward trajectory.

This is the moment for unity, patience, and collective action. Kwara is rising, and with shared commitment, the progress we witness today will become the foundation of an even greater tomorrow..
