Amofin Akogun Challenges Rep Olawuyi on Four Failed Bills

Barrister Titilope Joseph Akogun, popularly known as Amofin Akogun, has raised concerns over the legislative performance of Hon. Raheem Tunji Olawuyi, the current member representing Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency.

Amofin Akogun queried why, despite serving multiple terms at the House of Representatives, all four of Olawuyi’s sponsored bills have failed to scale through the lawmaking process.

The bills are Federal College of Education Bill, Omu Aran,Iron and Steel Development Bill, Nursing School Est. Bill, Ayedun and Food Preservation & Storage Bill.

In a well intentioned engagement with Rep Raheem Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin’s Director of Finance; Comrade Love Adeyemi on Facebook, the Omu Aran born lawyer analysed the four bills and discovered they all failed, despite having spent 7 to 8 years at the National Assembly.

“Our people deserve effective representation. If after years at the National Assembly, none of your four bills became law, then we must ask—what value has our constituency truly received from your mandate?” Akogun asked.

He stressed that legislative productivity is measured not just by presence in Abuja, but by the tangible impact lawmakers deliver through laws, motions, and constituency development.

Amofin Akogun urged the electorate to demand accountability and transparency from those who hold public office, stating that “representation without results is failure by another name.”
