Security: Oluwo Urges FG To Empower Traditional Rulers for Effective Local Policing

Oluwo of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi has urged Federal Government to empower Traditional Rulers to address the insecurity challenge in the country.

Oluwa made this call on Wednesday while receiving the leadership of the Osun State chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) at his Palace.

Oba Akanbi tasked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to empower Traditional Rulers to enhance their contributions to effective local policing.

The team led by their chairman, Alhaji Popoola Ogundoyin appreciated Oba Akanbi ‘s contribution to strengthening the security architect of Nigeria.

They used the opportunity to reel out the many contributions of Oluwo in the form of facility procurement, financial and moral support that have immensely influenced the job performance of the security officers.

Osun PCRC formally decorated Oluwo as their grand patron.

In his remarks, the Monarch pledged continuous support and tasked the body to sustain the tempo of community policing.
