NICO Boss Condemns Kwara Killings, Hails Government on Prompt Action to Curb Menace
The Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Institute for cultural Orientation (NICO), Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, has strongly condemned the gruesome killings of Kwara people by unidentified murderous gangs in Kwara State.
Otunba Ajiboye also commends the Federal and Kwara State governments for their swift actions towards nipping the terror and gory situation in the bud to forestall further occurrence.
Ajiboye who holds the traditional title of Otunba Muwagun of Oro Kingdom, says the urgent steps already taken by government to deploy members of the Nigerian Army from Ibadan Cantonment to curtail the menace is the right step in the right direction and should be sustained.
Further decrying the general security challenges bedeviling the country that has projected Nigeria as a terror-prone country on the global scene, Ajiboye attributed the recent level of killings, insurgency, terrorism to cultural disorientation of the citizenry.
He commiserates with the people of Oke-Ode community in Ifelodun Local Government over the victims who have fallen to the dastardly acts and prayed for the souls of the departed to rest in peace, while granting the families the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
