Impeachment: Rivers Chief Judge Saves Fubara

The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Chibuzor Simeon Amadi has refused to constitute a seven-member panel to probe allegations of gross misconduct against Governor Sim Fubara and his deputy.

Justice Chibuzor Amadi in a response  to Speaker Rivers State House of Assembly on Thursday cited court orders that prohibited him from creating such a panel.

He also noted that the Speaker has also filed appeal against the judgement at Court of Appeal.

Recall that 26 House of Assembly members issued impeachment notice against Governor Fubara.
