Fatai Alabi Olayinka Distributes Instructional Materials to Schools in Oke-Ogun

Hon. Fatai Alabi Olayinka, a leading aspirant for the Oke-Ogun Constituency seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly, has taken a major step towards supporting education in the constituency with the distribution of instructional materials to public schools.

The initiative, which held on Sunday, February 8, 2026, formed part of his Empower the Pupils Campaign, an educational support programme designed to ease the burden on parents and enhance learning outcomes for students across Oke-Ogun.

Hon. Fatai Alabi Olayinka was represented at the event by Mr. Raufu Kolawole and Mr. Hakeem Sanni, while Hon. Azeez Owoseni, the Ward Chairman, led discussions on the importance and usage of the books and other learning materials provided.

In total, 150 instructional books were distributed to each of the five wards that make up the Oke-Ogun Constituency, bringing the total number of books distributed to 750 copies, alongside other essential educational materials.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Alabi described education as a critical pillar for sustainable development, noting that many families are struggling with the rising cost of educational materials, which often affects students’ academic performance.

“Education remains the foundation of societal progress. When pupils are adequately supported with basic learning materials, it creates a conducive environment for learning and improves their chances of academic success,” he said.

He explained that the programme is part of his broader commitment to youth development and human capital advancement in Oke-Ogun, stressing that investing in education is a direct investment in the future of the constituency.

Hon. Fatai Alabi Olayinka reaffirmed that his aspiration to represent Oke-Ogun in the Kwara State House of Assembly is driven by a genuine desire to serve the people through practical, people-oriented initiatives that address real community needs.

Residents and stakeholders across the constituency have commended the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful, especially in supporting pupils from less-privileged backgrounds and strengthening the public education system.

The educational support programme is expected to continue in phases, with more schools and students across Oke-Ogun set to benefit from similar interventions in the coming weeks.
