Kogi Governor, Ododo Swears in 21 LG Chairmen

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has sworn in the newly elected chairmen of 21 local government areas in the state.

Ododo during the swearing ceremony at the Government House, Lokoja on Wednesday urged Kogi local government Chairmen to prioritise rural security, accountability, effective service delivery and sustainable grassroots development.

The Governor was represented the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu.

Recall that All Progressives Congress (APC) cleared all chairmanship and councillorship seats during the local government elections held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC).
