Gombe Governor Appoints Rev. Wakil Phillip as Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board Secretary

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has appointed Rev. Wakil Joel Phillip as the new Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.

The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi made the announcement on Wednesday in Gombe

Rev. Wakil Joel Phillip’s appointment is part of the state government’s administrative arrangements for the effective coordination of the GSCWB’s responsibilities, particularly in matters relating to Christian pilgrimage and the welfare of intending pilgrims from Gombe State.

The new Executive Secretary is expected to provide the necessary leadership for the Board and support the effective discharge of its mandate in line with the Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s commitment to efficient public service delivery.

A statement issued by Ismaila Uba Misilli, the Director General Press Affairs says the appointment takes immediate effect.
