APC Senatorial Candidate Unveils Agenda for Kwara South

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Kwara South Senatorial District, Prince Olalekan Adewoye has called for the deployment of modern security infrastructure to vulnerable areas and strengthen community policing.

Adewoye made the commitment while speaking with journalists at a Leadership Development Roundtable organised by The Kwara Tabloid in Ilorin.

Adewoye said he would also support funding for neighbourhood watch initiatives and youth volunteer corps, while promoting security models that integrate local intelligence.

He said his approach would focus on strengthening collaboration between communities and security agencies to address insecurity across Kwara South.

Speaking on his previous interventions in security, the APC candidate said he had supported Omo Igbomina with more than N10 million for the purchase of security equipment for local vigilantes.

He added that his interventions through his foundation had also covered healthcare, education and empowerment, despite not having previously held public office.

His foundation has been reported to have provided free healthcare services to more than 1,000 beneficiaries and distributed over 1,000 JAMB forms to students.

Adewoye said resolving insecurity would also help address agricultural challenges in Kwara South, noting that farmers would be able to operate more freely when their safety is guaranteed.

He promised to give his best to the people if elected, adding that constituents would have the opportunity to assess his performance based on his delivery in office.
