By Adebayo Oladejo
The Akwa Ibom State Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has commended Pharm. Judith Ngozi Udeh for her immense contributions to healthcare development, pharmacy practice, and professional advancement in Nigeria.
The commendation was given by the state PSN Chairman, Pharm. Nsikak Effiong, as Pharm. Udeh steps out of Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited after years of service in the pharmaceutical industry.
Effiong, who is also a Consultant Pharmacist at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, described Pharm. Udeh as a symbol of passion, excellence, and dedicated service within the healthcare sector.
According to him, her contributions during her time at Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited significantly impacted hospital partnerships, healthcare accessibility, and pharmaceutical marketing across the country.
He noted that Pharm. Udeh distinguished herself through the establishment of the Hospital and Institutional Business (HIB) Unit, an initiative he said strengthened collaboration between healthcare institutions and the pharmaceutical industry while improving access to quality medicines.
The PSN chairman further highlighted her over 18 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare development, and clinical research, describing her as a professional who consistently demonstrated innovation, leadership, and commitment to humanity.

He also praised her advocacy for patient-centred healthcare through initiatives such as the Empathy in Healthcare Dialogue Movement and youth-focused programmes promoting health awareness and professional development.
Effiong particularly acknowledged her support toward the successful hosting of the PSN National Conference Ibom 2024, where he served as Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC).
He said her encouragement, goodwill, and professional support contributed immensely to the success of the conference hosted in Akwa Ibom State.
The PSN chairman further referenced the launch of JunGlobal Healthcare Solutions earlier this year, describing it as a reflection of her passion for improving healthcare market access and strengthening healthcare systems across Africa.
He wishes Pharm Udeh success and fulfilment as she begins a new chapter beyond Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited.
