APC National Secretary, Senator Bashiru Ajibola stated this on Friday during Alubarika Empowerment Programme organised by Senator Saliu Mustapha at Lower Niger Basin Development Authority in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
He described the skills based empowerment as unique intervention that would make beneficiaries to be self reliant.
Ajibola however cautioned beneficiaries against selling the empowerment items, tasking them to make judicious use the opportunity to energise their businesses and launch their vocational activities.
APC National Secretary used the opportunity to canvass support for President Bola Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Senator Saliu Mustapha.

“Empowerment in agriculture is key to the survival of any society. Without food, there is no life. Senator Mustapha has a solid pedigree, which is why the Senate entrusted him with the chairmanship of the Committee on Agriculture,” Barau stated.

He also praised the initiative for linking skills acquisition with entrepreneurship, aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Recognizing the program’s impact, Barau pledged support by donating 200 sewing machines to further empower women and artisans, promising continued collaboration with Senator Mustapha.

Similarly, Senator Tokunbo Abiru also donated N10million to empower 100 women in Kwara Central senatorial district.
In his remarks, the Minister of Agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari, emphasized that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agricultural reforms are yielding results, making food more available and gradually more affordable.
“Today, I can proudly say that the reforms initiated by President Tinubu on food security are working. This program is a testament to that commitment,” Kyari said.
He also acknowledged Senator Mustapha’s oversight role in the agricultural sector and commended his dedication to ensuring the success of the President’s policies.
