Ayeni, Oyedepo, Amb Abioye, Others Advocate for Unity in Kwara South

…As Kwara South Summit Holds June 27 in Offa

Kwara South Development Forum has called for unity among different tribes and sections to foster development and prosperity in the district.

They encouraged Igbomina, Ibolo and Ekiti axis of Kwara South to work in synergy to attract meaningful development, noted that tribal division has cost them a lot.

The Chairman of the Forum, Chief James Ayeni made this call on Thursday while addressing a press conference in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.

According to him, Kwara South Development Forum is made up of a group of individuals who are driven only by the passion to get the people of Kwara South to speak in unison. Indeed, our interest is far beyond politics and political gains.

Speaking on the maiden edition of Kwara South Summit, Ayeni said the Stakeholders Summit will hold at ODU Hall Offa on June 27, 2024 with the theme: Kwara South Unity and Prosperity.

He implored all people of the district to join force with the forum to build a stronger zone.

In his remarks, former Kwara PDP Chairman, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo said the forum is apolitical but only pursuing unity that would bring meaningful development to Kwara South.

Oyedepo said some members of forum belong to different political parties while others are non partisan, noting Kwara South unity remains their priority.

Similarly,  former Nigerian Ambassador to Pakistan, Amb Tajudeen Abioye, Amb Olusola Onijala and other prominent stakeholders from seven local government areas of Kwara South implored the people to embrace the lofty idea.
