Business Mogul, Dantata Dies at 94

Kano born Businessman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata reportedly died on Saturday June 28, 2025.

The Personal Private Secretary, Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid announced Dantata’s death via a teaser message.

The Business Mogul with high impact passed on at age 94.

FactualTimes reports that his burial will hold today according to Islamic rites.

Alhaji Aminu Dantata was born on May 19 1931 in Kano. He was a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist who was one of the promoters of Kano State Foundation, an endowment fund that supported educational initiatives and provided grants to small-scale entrepreneurs in Kano.

He is the head of a group of companies that manages his real estate and other business ventures.

Dantata was the founder of Express Petroleum & Gas Company Ltd and one of the organizers of first Islamic bank in Nigeria, Jaiz Bank.
