Candidacy: Youngest APC House of Assembly Candidate Wins At Appeal Court

The Court of Appeal sitting in Ilorin has declared 26 year old, Rukayat Shittu as authentic candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Owode Onire State constituency in 2023 Kwara State House of Assembly election.

Appeal Court on Wednesday dismissed the case of her challenger, Ayinde Alajere for lacking merit.

Recall that Rukayat, who is the first female senate president at the Congress of National Open University of Nigeria Students won the APC primary election for Owode Onire to represent the constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly.

In a swift reaction to the Judgement, the Mass Communication graduate said: “there’s no winner or loser in the matter, all APC members are the same family.”
