The main goal of the community development programs is to improve quality of life. It should result in mutual benefit and increased responsibility among community members.
While adopting interactive methodology, he exposed the Fellows to steps in community development: Identification of problem; Planning; Implementation; Monitoring; and Evaluation.

The Convener grouped the Fellows into three syndicate groups for brainstorming and ideation on community development presentation where representatives of each group talked about the problems of their communities and ways they can solve them using the steps they were taught.
The presentation did not only achieve its goals by the proof that the Fellows understood the steps but also improved their public speaking prowess.

The Convener encouraged the Fellows to love their community and make use of the knowledge imparted on them to solve some of their community problems.
