Court Dismisses DSS Application To Detain Sowore For More Days

A Federal High Court has denied Directorate of State Security (DSS) applications to keep Omoyele Sowore detention for more days.

The Federal High court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday refused application for 20days extension by the DSS.

Recall that the court in August granted request of the security agency to detain Sowore for 45days.

The Publisher of Sahara Reporters was arrested on August 3, 2019 for planning nationwide protest tagged #RevolutionNow.

Sowore’s lawyer, Femi Falana urged the court to release his client since the detention order has expired and application for renewal has been withdrawn.
