Court Reinstates Senator Natasha, Declares Her Suspension Illegal

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has reinstated Senator Natasha Akpoti-Udanghan.

Justice Binta Nyako in her ruling on Friday declared Natasha Akpoti’s suspension by the Senate as illegal.

The Court ordered Senate to reinstate Senator Natasha H Akpoti to continue her legislative duties.

Nyako ruled that her 6-month suspension is excessive and in default of Section 14(2) of the Senate’s Privileges Act.
