Deborah’s Killing: Reformation Movement Condemns Senseless Killing

“For me, no ideological or political conviction would justify the sacrifice of a human life. For me, the value of life is absolute, with no concessions. It’s not negotiable.”_ Edgar Ramirez

Reformation Movement of Nigeria (RMN) a non-governmental, socio-cultural ideological organisation with chapters across states of the federation and campus units in various tertiary institution within the shores of Nigeria wishes to condemn the gruesome murder of a shining bright youth- Deborah Samuel (a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto with TOTAL DISDAIN. The following are our recommendations to the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari on this matter:

Deborah Yahaya Samuel

1. All the perpetrators of this dastardly act MUST  be quickly apprehended and prosecuted to face the weight of the law. (Evidences are all over the social media as these murderers recorded themselves while in the act)

2. No one found guilty should get just a pat at the back but each of them MUST be allowed to face the wrath of the law so as to serve as deterient for others planning such act.

3. Further investigation should be carried on the security architecture of the school because the outrage seems pre-planned.

4. The deceased family should be adequately compensated (even though this can’t bring back the dead but it will be a succour to them)

5. It is high time the government take a deep look at the moral and religious education upbringing of people in areas where such act has been rampant in the last 10years because there are tendencies that younger generations are already on training from this faulty moral background.

6. Engage more youth organization with proven track records in nation development and good governance.

Conclusively, we will be monitoring as events unfolds because together we shall reform Nigeria and beyond through intellectual advocacy.
