Edo 2020: Obaseki Makes First Statement As PDP Governor
Governor Godwin Obaseki has expressed his readiness to lead the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to victory in forthcoming Edo 2020 Governorship election.
Obaseki joins PDP on Friday and picked the party governorship nomination form ahead of party’s primaries.

Speaking at the state secretariat in Benin, Obaseki said: ”I am practically the party leader in the state. I want to assure you all that am prepared to provide leadership. I will lead this party to victory in the forthcoming poll”.

The governor made this declaration amidst cheers from his supporters and appointees.
Obaseki also received membership card from Edo PDP Chairman, Hon Tony Aziegbemi.
Obaseki joins PDP a week after the All Progressives Congress Screening Committee disqualified him from participating in party’s primaries.
