Edo 2024: Deputy Governor Visits Assembly Leadership

Edo State Deputy Governor,  Philip Shaibu,received an enthusiastic welcome from the State House of Assembly staff during an impromptu private visit to the Speaker and other parliamentary leaders.

For Shaibu, a former House member and two-term Majority Leader, the visit felt like a return home to familiar surroundings. As he exited the complex, Assembly staff gathered, expressing their support and chanting slogans like “100 percent homeboy, our next Governor.”

This display of solidarity and respect acknowledged Shaibu as one of their own. Despite his security details facing challenges managing the excited crowd, the Deputy Governor eventually entered his car.

The scene was a delightful spectacle, with Shaibu, true to his customary approach, exchanging pleasantries and warm handshakes with nearly everyone present before leaving the premises.
