Eko Mi Awards Will Be Annual Event – Bestman Nze-Jumbo

The Publisher of Eko Mi Eko e Newspaper, Otunba Bestman Nze-Jumbo said Eko Mi Awards will be annual event to recognize and honor notable Nigerians, groups, agencies and organizations contributing to peace, stability and development of Lagos State.
Otunba Bestman Nze-Jumbo disclosed this on Monday while featuring on Mainland Radio to discuss upcoming Eko Mi Awards and other trending national issues.
According to him, Eko Mi Awards is unique because we are scouting for Lagosians and other notable Nigerians adding value to Lagos State. We just don’t condemn people that are doing bad stuff, we must create platform to appreciate people doing good and adding value to the system.
He added that 102 nominees comprising personalities from different sectors and organizations would be jostling for 27 award categories during the maiden award ceremony holding at Sheraton Hotel Ikeja on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
Nze-Jumbo said the organizers of the award will also decorate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Omo Eko Pataki by custodians of Lagos heritage for his outstanding performance.
He appreciated organizations and individuals for supporting the event through sponsorship as well as volunteering to ensure successful outing.
Eko Mi Awards is organized by Eko Mi Eko e Newspaper, a free monthly tabloid projecting happenings across Lagos, the center of excellence. The publication started operations in 2021.
