Engr CO Adebayo Supports Over 250 Kwara Farmers

As part of targeted efforts to boost domestic food production and strengthen agricultural productivity, hundreds of verified farmers in Kwara State have received free fertiliser under the Farm Inputs Support Programme of the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF), facilitated by Engr. Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo.

Each farmer received four bags of fertilizer on Friday at the Ilorin Fertilizer Redemption Centre, Oke-Oyi.

The intervention programme aimed at reducing the burden of input costs on farmers and enhancing crop yields during the farming season.

Addressing the beneficiaries the Executive Secretary of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) Engr. Cornelius O. Adebayo represented by Comrade Timothy Adewuyi, urged farmers to use inputs to improve agricultural output and contribute to food security in the country.

On their part, the local farmers expressed deep appreciation for the timely intervention. Many of the beneficiaries noted that receiving four bags of fertilizer for free would significantly lower their operational farming expenses and guarantee a much better harvest.

According to data compiled by 9japarrot Media during the distribution tracking, a total of 258 verified farmers drawn from across the various local government areas of Kwara State benefited from this round of agricultural support.
