Hakeem Lawal Registers As APC Member, Meets Party State Chairman
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Kwara 2023 governorship election, Hakeem Lawal has returned to the All Progressives Congress.
Hakeem Lawal on Thursday participated in APC Membership registration at Magaji Aare ward in Ilorin East local government.
He disclosed this in a statement made available to FactualTimes.
His words: “I paid a visit to the residence of the Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressives Party (APC), Prince Sunday Fagbemi, to formally inform him of the decision of my political family and I to join the progressive family in Kwara State.
“Prince Fagbemi warmly welcomed me02 on behalf of the National Chairman of the APC and His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, describing my decision as both a reunion and a homecoming.
“I was in company of the erstwhile Kwara State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alh. AbdulAzeez Afolabi, the SA Political to the Kwara State Governor, Prince Sulyman Sai Kayi, the APC Chairman in Ilorin East, Hon. Habib Lawal, and the APC Chairman in Magaji Aare Ward I.”
Hakeem Lawal later visited the Magaji Aare of Ilorin and the Baba Isale of Ilorin, who offered prayers for him on this new political journey.
