IF-K: APC Demands Independent Forensic Audit of KW-IRS, Harmony Holdings
The Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq Campaign Organization has described kwara state government response to its allegations of mismanagement of Infrastructure Development Fund (IF-K) and diversion of the funds to finance campaign activities of the various PDP candidates as evasive.
The Campaign Organization in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Director Media and Publicity, Abdulrasheed Akogun said the state government only confirm the allegation with their response, stressing that the watery reaction has further shown the insincerity of the outgoing government.
Akogun said: ”We wonder how Kwara state government would claim to be transparent in management of IF-K fund, when they only published report for 2017. What happened to 2018 report? The report published in December 2017 is being circulated within the corridor of power. How many kwarans have access it.”
”How have the PDP led government justified the more than #20b revenue accrue to the State in 2018 alone? This government has glaringly shown it lacks transparency and probity.”
The organisation insisted that some roads under the scheme have been abandoned since September 2017.
The statement read in part:
”It is more disappointing knowing that the leader of the PDP in the State was a banker, the same goes for the outgoing governor and other top functionaries of the State.
“It is on this note we dear the State government to order a forensic audit of IF-K, KWIRS and Harmony Holdings since there inception till date.
”We challenge the state government to circulate pictorial updates from project sites and publish project-by-project financial analysis for perusal of kwarans who are paying taxes to augment monthly allocation from FAAC.”
AACO therefore charge kwarans to be vigilant to prevent mass looting in the eleventh hour of failed PDP administration in the state.
